Welcome to my web page, a snapshot of my evolutionary research and related activities. Here you’ll find a summary of current and past research efforts, as well as a range of practical science resources. Stay tuned as I attempt to make my scientific research relatable to ordinary Australians. I will update these pages occasionally with my current research, opportunities for student projects or volunteer involvement.
- I have been awarded an ARC DECRA Fellowship to study the role of epigenetic modifications in tiger snake adaptation that will start in 2018.
- I have also been awarded the Edith Dornwell Medal for Early-Career Research Excellence in 2017 by the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Adelaide.
- I have been awarded an Australia-India Strategic Research Fund Fellowship, where I will go to Bangalore for 3 months in 2017 to collaborate with Uma Ramakrishnan at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
- I am now a Lead CI on an ARC Linkage project, investigating variation in Tiger Snake venom between different island and mainland populations. I will update my web page as this project develops.
